Calvary Lutheran Church, Town of Pine River, invites everyone to attend their annual Beef Roast and Auction on Sunday, Aug. 18. A meal featuring specially seasoned roast beef and barbecued beef, scalloped potatoes, corn, Jell-O salad, beverage and your choice of homemade pie will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children. Children 5 and under are free. A variety of afternoon activities will be offered including old time music, a silent auction, live auction, and kiddie carnival games. All are welcome to join for Sunday worship led by Pastor Susan Christian at 10 a.m. The church is located at N365 Cain Creek Rd., Merrill.
