59-year-old Merrill man airlifted following single-vehicle crash

According to a press release from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO), on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at approximately 4:16 p.m. the 911 Dispatch Center was notified of a single-vehicle crash on Cty. Rd. C. Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies responded, along with the Merrill Fire Department, and ultimately the Life Link III helicopter and Wisconsin State Patrol (WSP).
Cty. Rd. C was closed for approximately four and a half hours between State Rd. 17 and Norwegian Rd., during which time life-saving measures were performed on-scene and the single male occupant/driver was airlifted from the scene for medical care. The man has been identified only as a 59-year-old Merrill man and LCSO said his name is being withheld “pending further investigation.” The WSP conducted a crash scene reconstruction. No additional information was available at the time of printing.
