Brown of Merrill receives Steiner/Milnes Scholarship

Gracie Brown of Merrill received the Steiner/Milnes Scholarship for the Fall 2023 semester at UW-Stout. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Develpment & Family Studies. Established in 1963, the Stout University Foundation Scholarship Program has helped more than 11,422 of students receive a college education. Through the financial support of alumni, parents, faculty and staff, and friends of the university, the program has awarded more than $18.7 million over the years.

Iowa State University names Saari to fall semester 2023 Dean’s List

Jack Saari of Merrill, who is attending Iowa State University for Mechanical Engineering, was one of 10,800+ students named to the fall semester 2023 Dean’s List. Students named to the Dean’s List must earn a GPA of at least 3.50 on a 4.00 scale while carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours of graded course work.

Area students named to Dean’s List at UW-River Falls

The fall semester Dean’s List at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls was released by Registrar Kelly Browning and honors 1,656 students, including a number of ourstanding students from our area. To be named to the Dean’s List, a full-time undergraduate must earn a GPA of at least 3.5 on a scale of 4.0, or midway between an “A” and “B” average. Schulz named to University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) Dean’s List for Fall Semester 2023

Garrett Schulz, a Senior from Gleason, who is studying at the Swenson College of Science ane Engineering for a BA in Biology, was named to the Dean’s List for the Fall 2023 Semester. Students on the Dean’s List have achieved a GPA of 3.50 or higher while earning a minimum of 12 letter-graded credits.

UW Oshkosh announced fall 2023 Dean’s List, Honor Roll

University of Wisconsin Oshkosh officials released the names of students who qualified for the Dean’s List and Honor Roll in fall 2023 across its three campuses (Fond du Lac, Fox Cities, and Oshkosh).
The term GPA requirement for University Honor Roll is 3.3; the term GPA requirement for Dean’s List is 3.75 out of a possible 4.0.
To qualify, a student must have been enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits. There can be no individual grades below a “C” and no incomplete or non-reported grades at the time the process is run.

UW-Green Bay announces academic honors

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay announced the names of undergraduate students receiving semester honors for fall 2023 semester academic achievement. Students who earn a 4.0 GPA, which represents all “A” grades, receive highest honors. High honors go to students earning 3.99 to 3.75 GPAs. Honors are given to students earning 3.74 to 3.50 GPAs. All were full-time students in the fall/winter term, earning 12 or more credits of graded coursework. This list includes students attending all four UW-Green Bay campuses (Green Bay, Marinette, Manitowoc, Sheboygan).

Schlegel receives degree from UW-River Falls

Allison Schlegel of Gleason received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls following fall commencement in Dec. 2023. She graduated Summa Cum Laude, meaning she had a minimum cumulative 3.900 GPA for her entire college career.

Young of Merrill named to fall Deans’ List at Nebraska

Isaac Forrest Young of Merrill was named to the Deans’ List at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the fall semester of the 2023-24 academic year.
Young, a senior majoring in actuarial science, was named to the Dean’s List for the College of Business, which requires a minimum 3.6 GPA.
