Earl Harvey Dallman

Earl Harvey Dallman, age 92, of Merrill, died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, while under the care of Interim Hospice.  He was born on October 6, 1931 to the late Erwin and Martha (Grassberger) Dallman in Merrill.  Earl attended Merrill High School and graduated with the class of 1949.  He met his soul mate, Andrea Mae Fox, and the two exchanged marriage vows on October 18, 1952 in Merrill.  Sadly, she passed away on February 19, 2016.

Earl took over the family farm in 1961 and was a dairy farmer for the majority of his life.  Before farming, he drove gravel truck and worked in road construction.  Earl also had a few jobs to supplement farming by working at the cranberry marsh, a short stint at J.W. Perry and working for the town of Corning, driving the town grader.  Earl had a passion for the outdoors.  Deer hunting was a priority and he formed bonds with his Buckhorn family that lasted his life.  Earl loved making firewood and working in the woods.  He made annual trips to Canada fishing.  Earl and Andrea traveled after retirement, a 2-week train trip out West and visiting Switzerland, Florida and Branson, MO. He is remembered as a good person, that liked to joke around and always had a story to tell.  Earl was a member of the Houndsman Club, AMPI and of Trinity Lutheran Church – WELS.  He will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.

Earl is survived by his daughter: Marge (Gary) Roggenbuck, son: Mike Dallman, both of Merrill, grandchildren:  Amy (Steve) Zimmermann of Kennesaw, GA and Mark (Krystal) Roggenbuck, Quentin Roggenbuck (Krysta Koenig), Scott Leo Dallman (Melissa Tremaine) and Travis (Cassie) Dallman, all of Merrill,  great grandchildren:  Emily Zimmermann, Sarah Zimmermann, Caylee Rose Dallman, Kaisyn Michael Dallman and Addilyn Rayne Dallman, sister-in-laws: Lorraine Dallman, Marion Fox and Linda Fox, brother-in-laws: Wally (Martha) Bahlow, David (Marlene) Fox, Royal (Geri) Fox and Dennis (Earleen) Fox and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law: Ned and Martha Fox, son: Scott Thomas Dallman, great grandson: Jake Roggenbuck, brothers: Myron (Deloris) and Lloyd Dallman, in-laws: Carlos (Carol) Hass, Bill (Edna) Dey, Eugene (Lucille) Fox, Ned Fox Jr. and Alfred (Jimmy) Fox.
