The following donations were approved and/or accepted at the December 2023 Merrill Area Public Schools (MAPS) Board of Directors meeting:
A monetary donation from The ARC of Lincoln County valued at $14,000 to create an account to assist students with special needs in the District; a donation of funds from Eric and Laura Lee valued at $2,500 for the Nels P. Evjue School Forest to use as needed; monetary donation from Anthony and Becky Dallman valued at $223 for the Merrill High School Nest; a check from Mari Suzuki valued at $100 for child enrichment in memory of Joan Kobielus; Halloween costumes from Walmart valued at $100 for students at Kate Goodrich who needed a costume on Halloween; funds from Bo & Michelle Bennish valued at $150 for student needs at Pine River School for Young Learners; funds from Gleason Community Club valued at $500 for student needs at Pine River School for Young Learners; jackets from an anonymous donor valued at $400 for students in need at Pine River School for Young Learners; cash from XI Alpha Nu valued at $50 for the Merrill High School Nest; a check from the Class of 1956 valued at $250 for the Merrill High School; kinder mats from DeLaurie Davis valued at $80 for student use at Kate Goodrich Elementary School; snacks from Chloe Morris and Bryn Griebel valued at $50 for providing snacks to students at Kate Goodrich Elementary School; funds from Kristi Krombholz valued at $50 for student needs at PRSYL in honor of John Wagner; and the following donations of funds from Eric & Laura Lee to be used as needed: Washington Elementary School, $1,000; Kate Goodrich Elementary School, $1,000; and, Pine River School For Young Learners, $1,000.
