The following donations were approved and/or accepted at the November Merrill Area Public Schools (MAPS) Board of Directors meeting:
A monetary donation from Stacy Literski Photography valued at $45 for the MAPS Dance and Boys Soccer Programs; a monetary donation from the Loretta Singer Endowment Fund valued at $500 for the MHS Nest; money from the Lincoln County Fair Association valued at $1,000 for benefiting the MAPS Theater Jays in honor of the help of LB (director) during the fair; funds from Aspirus Merrill Hospital valued at $792 for training two middle school counselors to offer the Learning to Breathe program in small groups with identified students struggling with self-regulation, problem solving and coping skills; funds from Diane Dahl, Wayne Sauls and Emily Sauls valued at $25 for MAPS in memory of Joan Kobielus; funds from Jacob Robertson and Meaghan Gustafson valued at $25 for MAPS in memory of Joan Kobielus; Cooks Country and other recipe magazines from Marie Steffenhagen valued at $100 for the MHS Food classes; and, clothing, jackets and snow pants from the Mary Geiss Memorial Foundation valued at $400 for supplying children in need at PRSYL.
