The City of Merrill and Merrill Area Chamber of Commerce are partnering once again to present Merrill’s Second Annual Holiday Decorating Contest. This contest is for residents and businesses within the city limits of Merrill. Prizes will be awarded from first to third place. To be eligible to win, home owners and business owners must register to be entered in the contest by Dec. 8, 2023. Registration ensures the home or business will be on the Tour of Lights map and eligible for a chance to win a prize.
The judges of the contest will be riders of Merrill’s Tour of Lights Annual Bus Ride on Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2023, at 5 p.m..
Each year, the Merrill-Go-Round picks up riders at their homes and takes them on a bus ride to tour the city and see homes and businesses that are decorated for the holidays. The duration of the tour is two hours or less. The Tour of Lights Bus Ride is free for the public to ride and is fun for all ages, but reservations are required and space is limited. Call the Merrill Transit office at 715.536.7112 to reserve a seat on the Tour of Lights Bus Ride, so don’t delay.
