Hwy. K in Marathon County, which had been closed most of the summer between the Marathon/Lincoln County lines and Wausau, is now open. In addition to newly paved highway, the route now includes additional turning lanes, and there is a new roundabout in the town of Maine, along with sections with lower speed limits, so stay alert while traveling until it becomes second nature.
