Final round of voting in Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin contest begins Oct. 12 in Manufacturing Madness competition
On Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023, the Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) and Johnson Financial Group announced the four finalists in the Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin contest. Weinbrenner’s Thorogood American Heritage Tobacco Safety Toe Work Boot are one of those four finalists, and voting is set to begin to select the 2023 Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin.
Competing for the highest honors in this eighth annual contest, Weinbrenner’s Thorogood Work Boots produced by Weinbrenner Shoe Company, headquartered in Merrill, will now go head-to-head up against the other three finalists: The Bevi Bottleless Water Dispenser manufactured by Plexus Corp. in Neenah; Applewood Smoked Bacon produced by Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Meats in Wittenberg; and the Ariens® 90th Anniversary Limited Edition Sno-Thro made by AriensCo in Brillion.
This final round is a popular vote, and every vote counts. Voting begins at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023. Individuals can vote once per day, per device, until 12 noon on Oct. 19. The winner will then be crowned at WMC’s Business Day in Madison that same day.
