Barbara L. Brose, 87, of Merrill, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Bell Tower Residence, Merrill.
Barbara was born October 7, 1936, in the State of Washington, daughter of the late Ralph and Reba (Newgord) Nervik. She married LeRoy Brose on June 29, 1958. He preceded her in death on May 30, 2015. Barbara and her husband were the owners/operators of J.W. Perry Inc., a wholesale floral distributorship with locations in several states. They also owned/operated Brose’s Flower Center in Merrill. Barbara enjoyed playing the piano, golfing, traveling, playing bridge and cribbage, and shopping. She was also an excellent seamstress. Above all, Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughters, Sondra Engel of Merrill and Holly Brose-Selissen of Tomahawk; three sons, Frank (Barb) Brose of Tomahawk, Greg Brose of West Bend, and Don (Angie) Brose of Tomahawk; sixteen grandchildren, Austin, Sierra, Kerry, Emily, Nicholas, LeRoy, Joe, Jake, Roddy, Roseanne, Carrie, Kayla, Brooke, Calla, Jaxsen, and Meadow; and several great-grandchildren. Barb was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Brose; parents, Ralph and Reba Nervik; and siblings, Betty Ann Brose, Ralph Nervik, and John Nervik.
The funeral service will take place at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 14, 2023, in the Assisi Hall at Bell Tower Residence, Merrill. Please use the north parking lot and the north entrance to the Assisi Hall. Entombment will follow in Merrill Memorial Park Mausoleum, Merrill. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday, October 13, 2023, at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill.
