On Sept. 25, 2023, Lincoln County Board District 13 Supervisor Calvin Callahan announced his resignation from the Lincoln County Board, effective last week at the adjournment of the Sept. 19 County Board Meeting.
Callahan will be moving and will no longer reside within the boundaries of District 13.
In a statement regarding his resignation, Mr. Callahan expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve the people of the 13th District and his excitement for the future. “It has been an honor and a privilege to represent the wonderful people of the 13th District on the Lincoln County Board of Supervisors,” he said.
Callahan wished to extend his sincere appreciation to his fellow Board of Supervisors members, County staff, and, most importantly, to the constituents of the 13th District for their support and collaboration throughout his time in office.
Callahan’s move will not effect his role as State Representative for the 35th Assembly District of the State of Wisconsin. His new residence will be within Lincoln County and he will continue to represent the 35th Assembly District.
In addition, Callahan confirmed his decision to seek re-election to another term as State Representative in the Nov. 2024 election and said he is committed to continuing to advocate for the needs of the community on a broader scale.
