Park City Gardeners announced the August 2023 Garden of the Month belongs to Judy and Carl Weinert, at 2801 Glen Dr. in Merrill.
“The garden runs through the entire property, providing beauty with every step you take,” said one of the Park City Gardeners who helped select this month’s Garden of the Month. Set amidst large pine trees that are “surrounded by beautiful greens and unique garden art,” visitors are “immediately drawn to the beautiful color of the amazing flower gardens that surround the property” in addition to the landscaping, and the Wisconsin River provides a picturesque background for the property.
The landscaping and gardens have been developed over a 33-year period, adding a little each year, Judy said. But she didn’t just add something each year. She also had to rearrange and “move things around to find where they really fit,” she said.
She selected plants to provide beauty and color throughout the growing season. “With the sunshine reflecting the beautiful color, the sparkle of a dewy morning, or the glitter of a recent rain, you just want to relax to take it all in,” a Park City Gardeners member said.
Take a walk or a drive past this beautiful property to enjoy the end-of-summer beauty and color.
