On Wednesday evenings, the City Band plays to a hometown crowd of music lovers, set up in the gazebo at Normal Park.
Last Thursday, Howard Guitar Luedtke and the Blue Max Band brought the blues to Normal Park during Thorogood Thursday/Gazebo Nights, taking the stage after the Northwoods Bassist kicked things off. It was a great night for enjoying the soulful sounds of the renowned blues musician and to enjoy food and snacks along with the music. The Merrill Basketball Team sold food in the concession stand, while the Merrill Dance Team offered goodies and face painting and Merrill Ice Reflections held a bake sale. And, of course, the Masons were there with popcorn for sale, as well.
The Thursday night concerts were sponsored by Chips, Duwayne Kreager Insurance, Power House Lawn & Leisure, Hugo’s Pizza, and Merrill Tool and Water Jet.
And on Friday night, Carry the Cross sponsored a free night of inspirational music with their non-denominational Christian concert featuring King’s Conquest and Rhett Walker.
Thorogood Thursday/Gazebo Night will be on hiatus this week. Everyone is encouraged to go see Rising Phoenix at the Lincoln County Fair tonight!
