Vernon  H. Woller

Vernon  H. Woller, age 97, of the Town of Berlin, Marathon County, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at his home under the care of his family and hospice services. Vernon was born April 17, 1926, in the Town of Hamburg, Marathon County, son of the late Harvey and Eldora (Harder) Woller. He married Ethel Krause on April 24, 1948. She preceded him in death on June 4, 2017. Vernon was a dairy farmer in the Town of Hamburg. He also worked at Fromm Brothers, the 51 Truck Stop, and Merrill Millwork. Vernon was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Town of Berlin, where he once served as an Elder. He was honored to be selected as a delegate for the WELS Convention. Vernon enjoyed fishing and was proud of the huge Bass he caught. He also enjoyed woodworking, dancing and listening to Polkas, gardening, and bird watching. Vernon was very gentle and patient. He had great faith in the Lord.

Survivors include daughters, Jolene Teske of Athens, Kaye (Dave) Running of Springfield, Missouri, Karla Duranceau (Wayne Schulz) of Wausau, and Patti (Brad) Butt of Merrill; sons, Randy (Patricia) Woller of Athens, Rodney Woller, Brian (Julie) Woller of Merrill and Mark (Laurie) Wollerof Merrill; 16 grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Joann Utecht of Merrill and Carol (Donald) Kopplin of Merrill. Vernon was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Woller; parents, Harvey and Eldora Woller; a grandchild; son-in-law, Larry Teske; sister and brother-in-law, Mavis (Wilbert) Voelz; and brother-in-law, Charles Utecht.

The funeral service for Vernon will begin at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 4, 2023, at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Town of Berlin. The Rev. Andrew DeGier will officiate. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. Friday at the church. Taylor-Stine Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Merrill, is assisting the family.
