Merrill hosted the first round of the Little League Baseball Tournament this year. The host team went 3-0, defeating Wausau National 18-0, Rhinelander 18-1, and Antigo 10-0. The second round of the Tournament started July 10 and goes through July 14. Merrill will take on Wausau American in their opening round game of Sectional play. The double elimination Tournament will result in the top two teams advancing to State, which is being held in Wausau this year.
