Don J. Trantow, 91, died on May 23, 2023, in Braselton, Georgia. He was born July 29, 1931, in Merrill, Wisconsin, to Ralph and Geneva (Chauvin) Trantow. He married Marie Blando in Chicago June 30, 1956. She preceded him in death on April 13, 1995. A 1949 graduate of Merrill High School, he served with the US Air Force in Korea in 1952 as an announcer with the Armed Forces Radio Service. He retired as a staff manager at AARP in Washington, D.C. in 1995. Survivors include a son, Michael (Katherine) Hoschton, Georgia; two daughters, Carrie (Walt) Soderman, Bonaire, GA, and Marcia (Chris) Weese, Lilburn, GA; three grandsons, Kevin Soderman, Eric Weese, and Carter Weese; two sisters, Marge Johnson, Wausau, and Carol Jean Stewart, Salt Lake City, Utah; and a brother, James, Merrill.
