Crossbridge Community Bank recently donated $500 to the Merrill Wrestling Program, on behalf of Universal Banker Gabe Opper, as part of the bank’s ongoing commitment to service in the community. Opper was chosen randomly among employees as part of the bank’s employee engagement Purpose First Program, which recognizes staff for their commitment to the organization’s values, one of which is service to the community.
“Putting purpose first is paramount in how we conduct business,” said Director of Marketing, Jesica Witte. “It makes sense that it translates into how we choose to support our community and our staff. What is important and what gives each individual purpose is as unique as the individual themselves.”
“As part of our 2023 giving campaigns, we wanted to make sure our staff is directly involved in building their community how they see fit,” she said. “Our service value reads: We exist to serve not just as a bank, but an essential, active part of the fabric of our community.”
“We are involved, invested, and aware of where we can make the biggest impact within our neighborhoods, cities, and communities,” Witte said. “We hope that gifts like the one given today can help boost programs that play a direct and important role in our employees’ lives.”
Opper was able to choose any non-profit or community program to receive the donation. She decided to impact a program her son has been involved with since his preschool years and selected the Merrill Wrestling Program which is near and dear to her family.
“The team always gives so much to the kids and looks out for the kids, and they always have,” Gabe Opper said. “It is nice to give something back.”
