Freemasons donate to Hamburg Volunteer Fire Department

On Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, Perseverance Lodge 1836 #366, a traveling lodge of Freemasons chartered by the Grand Lodge of Wisconsin, presented a Fire Suppression Device to the Hamburg Volunteer Fire Department (VFD) at the Berlin Community Center. The emergency-use device, when triggered, releases a non-toxic vapor that will drop the ambient temperature of a room in flames by up to 1000 degrees in just a few seconds. It does not deplete the oxygen in the room and may allow rescue of persons trapped by the flames. In photo, from L to R: Ryan Debroux, Chief of the Hamburg VFD; Ryan Mayrand, District 7 Deputy Grand Master; and Jay Oestreich, Master of Perseverance Lodge. Submitted photo.
