The Merrill Fire Department, along with Christmas Spirit of Lincoln County, would like to thank all those that contributed in any way to the 2022 Tree of Hope Program. Mother Nature’s generous amount of snow which blanketed this year’s tree was equally matched by all the generous donations from the community. This year’s efforts impacted 140 families and 375 children within Lincoln County. This program would not exist without the continued support of individuals, businesses, and organizations in the surrounding area. Organizers would like to recognize a few of the businesses and organizations that hold fund raisers annually in support of the program, which include Plautz’s Pub, United Way, AmericInn, and the Nite Riders Motorcycle Club. This program does more than fill the children’s wish lists for toys, it also provides much needed clothing, bedding, and other day-to-day necessities for children in a time of need. The Merrill Fire Department and Christmas Spirit of Lincoln County would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and look forward to your continued support in 2023.
