The Merrill Varsity Girls Volleyball Team wrapped up their season with a loss to Mosinee at their final match on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022.
“We lost in three but all games were close,” said Merrill Girls Varsity Volleyball Head Coach Kris Krug. “Mosinee stole the first game from us, as I felt that we came out strong at the beginning and had them trailing for most of the game.”
“Our passing was an issue all night, and we struggled to get the ball to our big hitters,” she said. “We needed a few calls to go our way and the outcome could’ve been very different.”
“I was proud of how we fought to the end and didn’t give up,” Krug said.
But … “As we beat Mosinee at the beginning of the season, one can see how this was a disappointing loss for us,” she said.

Box Scores:
Mosinee @ Merrill – 3-0
25-22; 25-21; 26-24

On Saturday, Oct. 29, Merrill hosted the Division 4 Sectional games but were not players at the event.
