Best of show winners announced

The 14th Annual Lincoln Lager Barleyfest “was well attended … and brought in hundreds of people to the Smith Center for another day of fun, craft beer, wine, music, and smiles!” said Dan Wendorf, City of Merrill Director of Parks & Recreation. “We had 35 breweries offering over 100 different types of craft beer and wine.”
While organizers haven’t had time to finalize all of the exact numbers yet, as they are getting ready for the ice install at the Smith Center, they were very pleased with the event and the turnout.
“It is always great to see so many people return each year, as well as seeing new faces come out and enjoy the event for the first time,” Wendorf said.
“We are very appreciative of all of our patrons and sponsors for supporting Barleyfest for 14 years, and appreciate those who support local events!” he added.
The Best of Show winners from the 14th Annual (2022) Lincoln Lager Barleyfest are:
• Best Beer – “Beast of Bourbon” from Mosinee Brewing Company
• Best Wine – “Frosted Citrus Berry” from Sunset Hollow Ranch Winery (right here in Merrill)
• Best of Barleyfest – Mosinee Brewing Company
