Park City Gardens selected Jackie Litwin’s yard and gardens at 1609 E. First St. in Merrill as the July 2022 Garden of the Month.
“Back in 2005, starting with a small circular garden on the west side of her driveway, Jackie Litwin has created a small paradise,” Park City Gardens representatives said.
As time progressed, she just wasn’t content with that small little garden, so with each gardening season came another addition. “To the inexperienced eye, it may appear that it was easy,” they said. “Don’t be fooled.”
In the past couple years those little orange beetles tried desperately to kill off every beautiful plant, Litwin said. And actually, they are still trying, but as you can see, they haven’t succeeded.
“The photos do not do justice to the beauty that lies within Jackie’s gardens,” Linda Huss of Park City Gardens said. “The variety of color, beautiful green foliage, and unique garden art welcomes you in. Just ask the neighbors. With the calming serenity and morning sunshine, they relax and take it all in while enjoying their morning coffee.”
