Rebecca Jo Kleinschmidt

Rebecca Jo Kleinschmidt, 56, of Merrill, passed away safe in the arms of our Savior, Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Willow Brooke Point Assisted Living in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Rebecca was born May 4, 1966, in Merrill, daughter of the late Milton and Vernette (Langhoff) Kleinschmidt. After Rebecca graduated from Merrill High School, she worked at Lincoln Industries in Merrill. More recently she spent her days at the Kindhearted Home Care Social Center. Rebecca was a kindhearted soul who was always quick with a smile. She loved her family and they were all important to her. Rebecca’s favorite thing was dancing. She never missed a chance to dance at a family gathering. Rebecca also loved bowling, dogs, and babies.

Survivors include her siblings, Bonnie Thurs of Athens, Virgil (Sherry) Kleinschmidt of Gleason, Dean Kleinschmidt (Peggy Gruetzmacher) of Merrill, Lynda (Mike) Kropp of Merrill, Gay Mootz of Merrill, Wanda Kleinschmidt of Merrill, Lois (Lee) Schmidt of Merrill, Brian Kleinschmidt of Merrill, and Jon (Rebecca) Kleinschmidt of Irma; sister-in-law, Laurie Kleinschmidt of Weston; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; and aunts and uncles, Louis Langhoff of Oshkosh, Marion Simon of Merrill, Shirley Borchardt of Merrill, Clarice (Erv) Boehm of Wausau, and Doris Kleinschmidt of Racine. Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Vernette Kleinschmidt; siblings, Kathie (Jeff) Baumann, Daniel “Boone” Kleinschmidt, Joel Kleinschmidt, and Thomas Kleinschmidt; sister- in-law, Devon Kleinschmidt; brothers-in-law, Roger Mootz and Richard Thurs, Sr.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.

The funeral service for Rebecca will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Town of Berlin, Marathon County. Rev. Andrew DeGier will officiate. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M., Thursday at the church. Taylor-Stine Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Merrill, is assisting the family.
