Dallman is May Youth Optimist at MHS

Molly Dallman has been named May Youth Optimist at Merrill High School. Mrs. Polly Koebe nominated her and said: “Molly is a student in my precalculus class. She always has a positive attitude during class. Whatever the topic, she approaches it with an open mind and eagerness to learn. She is very helpful to those around her and is always trying to help others see the positive in the situation.”

“She expresses her optimism with a smile and attitude that is contagious to those around her,” Mrs. Koebe continued. “Molly’s character is respectful, as she shows nothing but respect for those with whom she encounters. She is hardworking as she does what is necessary to succeed and to help those around her be successful, as well. She is an exceptional young lady whose smile and optimism are infectious and can brighten anyone’s day. I think anyone who crosses paths with Molly would agree that she enriches their life by being a wonderful example of kindness, positivity, and encouragement.”

During her high school years, Molly participated in Volleyball (Team Captain, MVP, Second Team All-Conference, Varsity Letter, Athlete of the Week), Junior Optimist, National Honors Society, Raise Your Voice, LEAD, Student Council, Link Crew, FRIENDS, and Student Senate.

Outside of school, Molly is involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters, and is a Junior Jays Volleyball Coach, a member of Lutheran Memorial Church, and a St. John’s Lutheran School volunteer.

After graduation, Molly plans to earn her Bachelors in social work and then proceed to earn her Master’s in school social work in hopes of becoming an elementary school social worker. She is the daughter of Tony and Becky Dallman.
