The Adam Project (Now streaming on Netflix)
Rated PG-13 – for mild language, action, and peril involving a child

Hi, everyone. Today we are going to talk about The Adam Project, the newest film from the streaming giant, Netflix.

Starring Ryan Reynolds as adult Adam and newcomer Walker Scobell as 12-year-old Adam, this young actor is one to watch. We will be seeing much more of him. He nailed, just nailed, Ryan Reynold’s mannerisms and speech patterns.

As you may have guessed, The Adam Project deals with time travel and the ramifications of messing with time.

In supporting roles, we have Mark Ruffalo and Zoe Saldana who do good work in their limited screentime.

Netflix has been churning out lots of original content lately to mixed success, but The Adam Project is a fun film with action, comedy, and a solid story.

Will it win awards? No. Will it be talked about and examined at length by cinephiles again? No.

But the question really is, will this film entertain me as I destroy a bowl of popcorn on the couch? And to that, a resounding yes.

With good performances, decent script, and great special effects, this one hits the notes it was aiming for. So microwave the popcorn, slide into the groove in your couch, and just sit back and enjoy this one, folks.

Three out of five stars for this one, and only the very little ones should take a pass.

541 Days until Dune Part 2. Just sayin’.
