The Merrill Area Community Ride’s (MACR) 6th Annual Sleds ‘N Jams Snowmobile Ride and Poker Run, hosted by Kathy and Cal’s Club 64 on Saturday Feb. 19, 2022, raised nearly $10K for the McCaskill family.
On Feb. 25, the MACR Board of Directors presented a donation in the amount of $9,110 to the McCaskills of Merrill to use for expenses associated with their sons’ rare medical condition.
“We are so very grateful for the amazing, generous support, courtesy of nearly 60 businesses, families and individuals, both local and abroad,” MACR Chair Jeremy Ratliff said.
“We would like to send a special thank you to Merrill High School FAB Lab Director Mr. Josh Zalewski,” he added. “For the third consecutive year, the young craftsmen and women of the FAB Lab have collaborated, designed, and manufactured customized donation check templates for us, to present to our recipients. Our partnership with the MHS Fab Lab is an example of the many community partnerships we are so grateful to have established over the years.
Without these partnerships and the ongoing support from our community, we could not fulfill our mission of supporting those in need in our community.
