Sylvie “Dee” Wrzesinski

Sylvie (affectionately known as Dee) J. Wrzesinski, 72, Merrill, passed away unexpectedly at Medford Aspirus Hospital on February 14, 2022. Sylvie was born in Paris, France, on January 25, 1950, and soon after immigrated to the United States with her family. She graduated from William Howard Taft High School, Chicago, Illinois. It was in Chicago that she met Dennis Wrzesinski and they were married September 13, 1969.

Sylvie was a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and retired from Pinecrest Nursing Home. She also was a CNA with home health care. She put her loving ways and skills to good use by caring for her stepmother Jean and father during their last months and years of life. She was a devoted person who was always taking care of others. She enjoyed a good cup of coffee, rummage sales, listening to the radio, sending thoughtful holiday cards, taking pictures, collecting coins and $2 bills, and spending time with family. She was especially fond and proud of her grandchildren.

She is survived by husband Dennis Wrzesinski, Merrill; stepfather Vernon Fenney, Merrill; sister Doreen (Al) Renken, Merrill; twin daughters Cindy (Kraig) Hanig, Merrill; Crisy Procknow, Portage; son Steven Wrzesinski, Merrill; nephew Rob (Polly) Cwiklik, Chicago; niece Jenny (Collin) Hudler, Alsip, Illinois; niece Heather Young, Madison; grandchildren Hugh Hanig, Merrill; Zachary Wrzesinski, Merrill; Keary Hanig, Merrill; Teddy Procknow, Portage; Carter Wrzesinski, Merrill; and her close canine companion Jenna. She is preceded in death by mother Fernande (Madeline) Fenney, Merrill; father Boleslaw Cwiklik, Chicago; stepmother Jean Cwiklik, Chicago; and brother Mike Cwiklik, Chicago.

 

To honor Sylvie (Dee), the family will have a private gathering in summer.
