Violet C. ‘Vi’ Krueger

Violet C. ‘Vi’ Krueger, 98, of Merrill, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.  Violet was born May 6, 1923, daughter of the late Martin and Lula (Hurd) Hall. She worked at the former Holy Cross Hospital, Merrill, as a nursing assistant. Vi also worked as a public health nursing assistant and was a long-time piano teacher. Vi was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Violet is survived by her daughters-in-law, Ruth Krueger of Arizona and Renee Krueger Hess (Jeff Hess) of Phillips; grandchildren, Lori Schlais, of Rockford, Illinois, Todd Seiler of Merrill, Lisa Anderson of Merrill, Jason Krueger (Sally Corrigan) of Crivitz, Jennifer (Roland) Kauffman of Stratford, and Michael (Rhina) Krueger of Rhinelander; great-grandchildren, Michelle (Kyle Lauer) St. Clair, Sara (Timothy) Camplain, Nickolas (Joleen) Anderson, Zackary (Chantelle Diels) Anderson, Autumn Schlais, Tricia (Bruce) Berg, Hannah Krueger, Mason Kauffman, Max Krueger, Josh Krueger, and Wyatt Krueger; great-great-grandchildren, CJ, Zendaya, and Sheamus St. Clair, Everly Lauer, Farrah and Anthony Camplain, Nolan and Jourdan Berg, and Julian and Amara Krueger; brother, Roland Hall of Merrill; and sister-in-law, Kay Hall of Merrill. Violet was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Lula Hall; daughter, Diane Seiler; son, Jack W. Krueger; son-in-law, Ralph Seiler; and siblings, Richard Hall, Martin ‘Bud’ (Jean) Hall, Everett (Margaret) Hall, Janet (Doug) Cole, Donald (Marion) Hall, and infant Brian Hall; and sister-in-law, Melita Hall.

The family wishes to thank Pine Crest Nursing Home staff and Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services for the wonderful care they provided Violet.  The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 4, 2022, at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. Pastor Justin Spady will officiate. Burial will take place in Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M.
