The Merrill Area Concert Association (MACA) announced the second concert of the 2021-22 season. The Kassia Ensemble with Mary Elizabeth Bowden will appear at the Merrill High School auditorium on Thursday, Mar. 3, for a 7:00 p.m. performance. Kassia is a classical ensemble which includes two violins, a viola, and a cello, uniquely combined with renowned featured trumpeter Mary Elizabeth Bowden. This blend of strings and brass produces an interesting and classy sound augmented by a relaxed and comfortable rapport with the audience.
The program will include classical music by Bach, Mozart, Debussy, and Puccini, along with more modern favorites from Duke Ellington.
Attendance at all Merrill Area Concert Association events is open to members only, but MACA encourages area residents to join. Purchasing a season membership supports the association’s ongoing mission to provide live performances by professional musicians for the entertainment and betterment of our community. Interested residents are encouraged to call in advance so they can have membership materials ready and so attendees don’t miss a minute of enjoyment!
