At a March 2, 2022, Merrill Area Concert Association (MACA) event, Merrill resident Helene Ader was presented with a plaque honoring her for 45 years of service to the Concert Association and to the Merrill community. In recognition of her years of service, Helene has been named as an Emeritus Director of MACA, with all the rights and privileges of that honor.
After receiving the award, Helene said, “First of all, I want you to know how pleased I am with the award. To be recognized for contributions to MACA is wonderful, but to also acknowledge other contributions over the years was very special.”
In addition to her service with MACA, Helene was on the Board of Bell Tower Residence for nine years and worked on their capital campaign. She also spent several years on the Good Samaritan Hospital Board. Helene has been a member of St. John’s Church for more than 50 years, singing, accompanying, and directing the church choir.
