Elvera A. Neumann, age 80, of Wausau passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022, at Wausau Aspirus Hospital. Elvera was born on September 24, 1941, in Merrill, WI daughter of the late Norman and Leona (Baumann) Schmidt. She was united in marriage to William “Peanuts” Neumann in the Town of Corning on January 31, 1959. Elvera was employed as a school bus driver for Trinity Lutheran School and Northland Lutheran High School. She was very active in the Trinity Lutheran Church and participated in many volunteer activities there. She was also a 4-H leader and enjoyed doing ceramics.
Survivors include her seven children and their families, son, Dean (Sue) Neumann and their family, Jenna (Matt) Robinson, Daniel (Sarah) Neumann and their children Jameson, Bentley and Lincoln: son, Darryl Neumann: son, Dale (Leilani) Neumann and their family, Luke, Ariel, Evan (Vivian) Neumann and their son, Julien: daughter, Dannette (Andrew “Butch”) Gunseor and their family Cheyenne and Casey: son, DeWayne (Kelly) Neumann and family, Sam and Max: daughter, Dinah (Jeff) Schneider and family Chloe and Sam: and daughter Doreen (Vincen) Collins: brother, Earl (Linda) Schmidt: and sister, Lorraine (Fritz) Stevenson, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William, son Darrin, grandchildren Hannah Krahn and Kara Neumann, and sister and brother-in-law Diane (Rod) Pichelman.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 501 Stewart Ave., Wausau. Rev Tim Smith will officiate. Burial will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Corning. Visitation will take place from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church or St. Jude. The family would like to thank the staff of Aspirus Palliative Care and ICU for their care of Elvera.
