Dan Mecikalski

Dan Mecikalski, age 62 of Barnes and formerly of Merrill Wisconsin passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 at Meriter Hospital in Madison.  Dan was born on June 8, 1959 to the late Felix “Mike” and Charlotte Mecikalski.  He married Barbara Toschner, they had two beautiful children together and remained close friends throughout the years.  Dan worked at several factories, drove semi, was the parts manager at Schultz’s Wrecking, and was the manager of Dave’s Club 107 prior to his disability.  Dan enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling, participating in demolition derbies and watching his son Timmer in demolition derbies. He also enjoyed watching all sports, but mostly the Packers, Brewers, and racing.  Dan loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed a good game of cribbage.

Survivors include his three children, Nathan Toschner, Wausau and his girlfriend Stacy, Holly Mecikalski, Wausau and her boyfriend Mike; and Timothy Mecikalski, Stratford and his girlfriend Mikaela.  Four Grandchildren, Taylor Brandt, Beaver Dam; Jada DeAngelis, Wausau; Jarvis Cobbs, Wausau; and Keyshon Ivey, Wausau. Four Great Grandchildren, Ly’niyah Lacy, Lynell Lacy, Aubriella Lacy, and Arielle Lacy, all of Beaver Dam.  Sisters, Sandy (Bill) Grunewald, Sun Prairie; Cindy (Lewey) Hackbart, Merrill;  and Brother, Mark (Lori) Mecikalski, Pontiac IL.  He is proceeded in death by his parents, Mike and Charlotte Mecikalski; Brother, David Mecikalski; Granddaughter, Brianna DeAngelis, and Great Grandbaby Nikko.
