This huge pine tree was uprooted by the high winds last Thursday evening, Dec. 16, falling on the Nienow Law Offices building across from the Lincoln County Courthouse. The top of the pine snapped off during the storm and lays on the ground beside the building.
The storm with high winds was responsible for uprooting trees, snapping off trees and power lines, and blocking roads across Lincoln County. However, our area fared better than other areas of Wisconsin, with at least two confirmed tornados elsewhere in the state. Tina L. Scott photo.
