Lincoln County has hit a critically high COVID-19 activity level, according to an Oct. 19 press release from the Lincoln County Health Department. We are seeing spread throughout the home, schools, worksites, and gatherings. The North Central Wisconsin region is seeing 90% of hospitals with their ICUs at peak capacity.
In the past month (Sept. 15 – Oct. 13), Lincoln County has seen:
● 35% out of 1,327 COVID-19 tests came back positive; 468 new COVID-19 cases
● 17% of those that tested positive were vaccinated
● 11 hospitalizations and 0 deaths
● As of Oct. 13, 48.7% (13,441) have completed their COVID-19 vaccine series
