Dawn M. ‘Pat’ Kollath

Dawn M. ‘Pat’ Kollath, 73, of the Village of Maine, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at her home under the care of her extended family and Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services.  Pat was born August 3, 1948, in Merrill, daughter of the late Ellsworth Sabatke and Dorothy (Krause) Sabatke. She married William W. ‘Bill’ Kollath on May 8, 1976. Bill preceded her in death on March 24, 2020. Pat assisted Bill on the family farm, and she also worked for many years at the former ‘Michael’s Supper Club’ in Wausau. Pat loved to deer hunt and loved German Shepherd’s. She was a great cook and made delicious Christmas cookies and cakes. Pat always grew a large garden. She enjoyed the company of her current dog ‘Bella’. Pat’s extended family wishes to thank Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services and her special friends and neighbors Mike Wanke and Michelle Leitzke for the wonderful care they provided to her.

Pat is survived by two sisters, Sue Wiederhoft and Arlene (Alan) Pfalz, both of Merrill; three brothers, John (Marlene) Sabatke of Wausau, and Dale (Sarah) Sabatke and Mark (Becky) Sabatke both of Merrill; a brother-in-law, Dan Johnson of Merrill; several nieces and nephews including Joey Wiederhoft; and her dear friends, Lee, Katie, Koy, and Kyan Van Der Geest. Besides her parents and husband, Pat is preceded in death by two sisters, Pam Spoehr and Claudette Johnson; and two brothers, Joe and David Sabatke.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, from 10:00 am until 12 noon at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, followed by a Graveside Service at Maple Grove Cemetery, Village of Maine starting at 12:30pm.
