Local girls vying for title of 2021 Wisconsin River Pro Rodeo Queen

The reigning 2020 Wisconsin River Pro Rodeo Queen, Lexi Uttecht, daughter of Jennifer Urbanski and Randy Uttecht, Wausau, will preside over this year’s Rodeo in Merrill. The Rodeo is back again this year and will be held at the Merrill Festival Grounds on June 11, 12, and 13.
Five young ladies are vying for the title of 2021 Wisconsin River Pro Rodeo Queen. This year’s candidates are: Shyana Zettler, daughter of Shelly Zettler, Athens; Katy Koeppel, daughter of Jamie & Lori Koeppel, Birnamwood; Savannah Schallock, daughter of Dan Schallock & Carla, Stratford; Emma Moodie, daughter of Bryan & Karri Moodie, Athens; and Alison Leonard, daughter of AJ & Kristine Leonard, Merrill.
The contestants will be selling tickets to the Rodeo. Ticket sales are one of the components to the queen contest.
The new queen will be crowned on Sunday, June 13, at 12:00 p.m., just prior to the 1:00 p.m. Rodeo performance.
