Glen Richard Jones
Glen Richard Jones, age 52, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, March 29, 2021 at his home. He was born on February 2, 1969 to Jack and Beatrice (Fellows) Jones in Burlington, WI. Glen was a very hardworking and determined man. He was a loving dad and a great provider for his family of 7 children. Despite his Christianity and his relationship with God, and how he would pray with his children every night, Glen was still quite a rebel throughout his life. He was a humorous man, full of mischief and rock and roll. Most importantly, Glen had a big heart and had the ability to embrace the chaos of having such a big family. He was the glue that kept his family together. Being the unconventional way he was, led him to his dream of going to space, and was even his dying wish, which is going to be fulfilled. Glen enjoyed making and playing music, along with being an avid electric guitarist, reading about space, although he claimed that aliens don’t exist, watching many many movies and landscaping in his yard. He also was known as a busybody and looked forward to planning family meals and get togethers, his last meal with his family was Chinese takeout. Glen is loved and will be missed by so many, he was a good man.
Glen is survived by his parents: Jack and Beatrice Jones, children: Alicia Bergum, Asheley Swanson Jones, Anthony, Annalise, Allison, Alexander and Zoe Jones, along with their families, brothers: Greg and Kevin, sister: Parmalee (Brett) Jones, along with their families. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and granddaughter: Freja Swanson Ritchie.
