April M. Nooyen

April M. Nooyen, age 49, of Appleton, WI passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Appleton Medical Center in Appleton, WI. April was born on April 1, 1971 in Wausau, WI to Burna Martin (Hartwig) and Gilbert Krueger.  April attended school in Tomahawk and Merrill, where she would meet one of her best friends, Shannon Berndt. Growing up April always wanted to be in the health care field. April worked many years as a CNA as well as a medical assistant in the Fox Valley area. April adored football and the Green Bay Packers. She loved to travel and one of her favorite places was her vacation to Hawaii. She loved spending time with her family and friends and had the ability to lend an ear when needed or make a room light up with a questionable joke, if the situation called for it. She was a chameleon and could be anything to anyone. April loved being a grandma to her granddaughter Makena.

April is preceded in death by her father Gilbert Krueger, grandparents Melvin and Alice Hartwig, uncle David Hartwig and cousin Lynn Hall. April is survived by her husband Bradley; her mother Burna Martin and step father Joseph Zell of Tomahawk, WI, mother-in-law Barbara Lemke of Appleton, WI, father-in-law Bernard Nooyen of Freedom, brother Shawn Martin of Tomahawk, WI, sister Jo Campbell of Kaukauna, WI, sister Jamie Behnke of Appleton, WI, sister Mitzi (Elton) Wilkerson of Appleton, WI, brother-in-law Billy Nooyen of Appleton, WI, sister-in-law Becky (Mark) Pynenberg of Appleton, WI, son Brock (Alicia) Menard of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, son Travis (Ashlee) Menard of Kaukauna, WI, daughter Wiley (Greg) Urban of Neenah, WI, son Nathaniel Urban of Kaukauna, WI, daughter Aryne (Michael) Paul of Menasha, WI, son Wesley (Megan) Roberts of Fort Polk, LA and one granddaughter Makena Menard of Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

We are thankful for all the memories that she helped create for her family and friends. April was truly a light for everyone she touched, and she will be deeply missed by all.
