A 50-year-old Merrill man was arrested Monday evening on a warrant charge for violating the terms of his probation.
One person received minor injuries after a two-vehicle crash on US Hwy. 8 at County Rd. A Thursday morning at 8:02 a.m. in the Town of Bradley. A vehicle being driven by a 20-year-old Marathon City woman traveling north on County Rd. A pulled out in front of an eastbound vehicle being driven by a 25-year-old Appleton man. The woman was transported to Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital. Tomahawk firefighters assisted in closing part of US Hwy. 8 for about an hour while the scene was cleared. The 20-year-old was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
Slippery roads led to several crashes and slide offs on Friday when black ice started developing on US Hwy. 51. Tomahawk firefighters assisted in closing down two lanes of US Hwy. 51 near County Rd. S after a northbound pickup truck, towing a trailer, left the roadway and rolled over.
It took four hours to clear a town road in Corning after a truck hauling building materials rolled over on Cranberry Trail at Forks Rd. Rods Towing and Service used two heavy-duty wreckers to upright the truck and remove it.
Three people will be cited after deputies investigated disputes over fishing spots last weekend in the Town of Bradley. Deputies were called twice to Deer Lake after anglers complained of harassment on the ice, which turned into a physical altercation. One man being cited is from Waukesha County, the other two suspects are from Tomahawk. The DNR and the Recreation Deputy are involved in the investigation.

A 25- year-old Merrill man was arrested Saturday evening on charges of disorderly conduct, four misdemeanor counts of bail jumping, and a felony charge related to threats made to someone who is the victim of a crime following a disturbance involving a weapon in the Town of Merrill.
