SVDP Matching Fund Campaign a success

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Conference in Merrill is extremely pleased to announce that they met, and exceeded, their $50,000 Matching Fund goal! “We are grateful for so many lifelong and first-time supporters who donated money to St. Vincent’s during this Matching Campaign and having their gift matched by Joe and Lisa Breaman of Breaman Merrill Ford, Inc. and their family,” St. Vincent de Paul said in a press release issued last week. “We appreciate your efforts to increase the value of your contribution.”
The Breaman Family doubled every monetary gift received by Dec. 31, 2020, dollar for dollar, up to $25,000. They presented a check for $25,000 to St. Vincent de Paul Board Members on Jan. 5, 2021. With this matching gift, St. Vincent’s not only doubled the $25,000 donations, but even exceeded their goal of $50,000!
All who donated toward this Matching Fund Campaign and the Breaman Family truly demonstrate advocacy and provide critical support for the St. Vincent de Paul mission and Outreach Program in serving our neighbors in need. After a difficult year with COVID-19 affecting so many in our community, and as we anticipate even more challenges and hardships in this new year for many, they are grateful that they will be better able to serve and provide emergency funding for individuals and/or families with essential needs such as utilities, shelter, transportation, and other basics to those in need.
“Thanks to our generous friends, the St. Vincent de Paul Outreach Program will be able to serve many neighbors during their most vulnerable time and continue to provide hope to those in need. We are grateful for your generosity and hope that all donors will take great pride in the important difference that their gift makes,” the release went on to say.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Conference Members: Dick Duginski, President; Frieda Swanson, Vice President; Lisa Carlson, Treasurer; Sr. Linda Songy, Spiritual Director; Jim Rell, Judy Warren, Joe Breaman, Tom Mueller, Chris Malm, and Sue Norenberg, unite in saying “Thank you for helping us exceed our goal to help others!”
