Rose Hehling

Rose Hehling, age 89, of Merrill, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Bell Tower Residence under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice. She was born March 25, 1931 in Merrill to the late Paul and Anna (Collins) Wiesneski. On March 21, 1953 she married Alan Hehling in Merrill.  Over the years, Rose worked at Tiny Tot, Weinbrenner, Hanson Glove, Wire Products and Drew’s Bakery. After her retirement, she enjoyed spending time volunteering for the Lincoln Hills Grandparent Program for 16 years. Rose served as past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Eagles. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing, reading, camping, gardening and cooking for her family. Rose loved flowers and following the Milwaukee Brewers.

Rose is survived by her three daughters: Kathy (Bill) Smoker, Mary (Jerry) Stahoski and Sharon (Mark) Zipperer; two sons: David (Angie) Hehling and Greg Hehling; eight grandchildren: Rachel (Steve) Ruechert, Nathan (Jill) Eggebrecht, Jenna Hehling, Jessica Hehling, Corey (Jessica) Hehling, Calin Hehling, Sarah (Nick) Jurgella, Andy Smoker, seven great-grandchildren; two sisters: Florence Wic and Janet (Bruce) Schaeffer; brother; Paul (Renae) Wiesneski.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Alan, grandson Benjamin Stahoski, brothers Harry, Leonard and Mark Wiesneski.

Private family services will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Deacon Jim Arndt will officiate. Burial will take place following the service in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery. Waid Funeral Home & Cremation Service are assisting the family with arrangements.
