On Saturday, Oct. 24, Merrill native Stanley Seeger’s three decades of service to the Virginia Falls Masonic Lodge #226 was honored with a commemorative plaque, presented by fellow masons at the Merrill Masonic Lodge.
Seeger was born in Merrill in June of 1952 and became a member of Virginia Falls Lodge #226 on Sept. 22, 1990, when he was raised a Master Mason. During his tenure of service, Stan was first elected to preside over the Lodge as Worshipful Master in 1996, then was elected again in 2007, 2008, and 2009. He has served the lodge as an elected or appointed officer every year since he became a member.
The brothers of Virginia Falls Lodge chose to recognize his contributions to and support of the local lodge by presenting him with a momento, thanking him for his time and efforts.
An active Member of St. Stephens United Church of Christ, Stan worked at Seeger’s Dairy while in high school and until it closed in1992. He then worked for Kemp’s for 26 years until his retirement in 2018. Since his retirement, Seeger has continued to be active at the Masonic Lodge, assisting the new Masons which have come into the lodge in recent years . Stanley is a great asset to the lodge with his years of knowledge and experience within the freemason fraternity.
The father of two boys and six grandchildren, Stan enjoys bowling, travel, wines & antiques, but especially spending time with his grandsons, helping them with projects and teaching them how to do different things.
