As of early March, those in need of specialized pedorthic services now have a local option in Park City Pedorthics.
Open as of Monday, March 2 adjacent to the new David Cooper Insurance Agency; located at 902 E. Mill Street, Park City Pedorthics is owned and operated by Merrill native and certified Pedorthist Tasha Gleason.
As part of her practice, Gleason brings 13 years of education and experience including National Board Certification from the Robert Palmer Institute of Biomechanics at Oklahoma State University.

In discussing her career path leading up to her new practice, Gleason readily admits a long-standing interest in the medical field and helping others fulfill their needs.
“Every job I’ve had has involved some type of service in the medical field. Helping others in their time of need is something I’ve always enjoyed and found to be very rewarding,” she explains.
Gleason’s first endeavor en route to her Pedorthics practice, began in 2004 as a Podiatry Assistant. In 2017, Gleason moved on to the field of prosthetics.
“From the very start while working in the podiatry field, I found it very rewarding to work with clients and witness their quality of life improve, along with their overall level of happiness. The interpersonal communication aspect with clients has always been what I treasure most. I really enjoy the relationship-building aspect, most of all; the ‘happily ever after stories’ of how clients have enjoyed an improved quality of life after receiving care and services they were in need of.”
In fact, it was her experience in the podiatry and prosthetic fields that led Gleason to pursue her own Pedorthics practice.
“While employed, I saw how great the need was for these types of services in the community. That need will only become greater due to our local aging population. Especially during my experience in prosthetics, I saw firsthand how extensive delays could be for patients to receive the devices they needed. I felt I could make a difference in that aspect and began considering opening a facility of my own.”
That idea has now come to fruition for Tasha.
Now operating out of a brand new 1,400 square foot facility, Park City Pedorthics offers a full range of pedorthic services including diabetic shoes and inserts, foot orthotics, custom and off-the-shelf ankle braces, custom compression stockings and home delivery of devices.
