Gabriel Durbin

“Gabe is an outstanding young man,” Kolden stated.
“He generally has a positive outlook on situations; he doesn’t complain or give up. He tackles things head-on. He is wavers in his ability to complete something, he will seek the support of his family or staff. Gabe is polite and kind to both peers and staff. He completes his work, is willing to work anyone as a partner, asks for assistance appropriately after first attempting work, and advocates for himself.  Gabe understands who he is and his capabilities. He doesn’t try to follow the crowd or be someone he isn’t. He’s confident in his ideas and his morals. Gabe interacts with most students, even though he is a bit shy. When he is encouraged to make corrections or changes in his academics, he is open to the opportunity to do better. Gabe has an excellent work ethic at school and cooperative personality that will take him far in a future career.”

Examples of Gabriel’s school activities include playing the clarinet and being an 8th grade Web Leader. He was previously selected as Student of the Quarter as a 7th grader and has been recognized repeatedly as an honor roll student. He has also helped deliver beds for the Beds for Kids program through the Shepherd’s House. Durbin’s personal traits and qualities include a great sense of humor, very kind and generous and is always willing to help others.
