Just shy of two weeks since its inception, the Comfort & Care Program has already raised nearly $1,200, which has been donated to the St. Vincent DePaul Outreach Program. In addition, nearly 1,800 donated items such as toilet paper, paper towel and other household goods; have been distributed to those in need, via the Merrill Area Housing Authority.
The Comfort & Care Program was established on Tuesday, March 17 as a joint effort between the Merrill Area Housing Authority and AmericInn of Merrill, to assist local elderly and shut-in citizens with access to basic living necessities during the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) crisis.
