Geiss named Student of the Week

Kate Goodrich Elementary 5th grader Josilynn Geiss has been selected as Student of the Week, for the week of March 2. Daughter of Michelle and Andrew Geiss of Merrill, Josilynn was nominated by teacher Ms. Kujala.

“Josi is a dedicated and caring student,” Kujala explains. “She challenges herself every day and gives her best effort in everything she does.  Josi is also a team player, making sure others are understanding concepts, and is willing to help her peers.  Her positive attitude is one of her best assets.  We are lucky to have Josi in our classroom!”
As Josilynn explains, her favorite subject in school is math; “Because I learn new things and I am in advanced math. I am really good at it and I love math!”
Josilynn’s favorite part of school is WIN (What I Need: an intervention process for students to meet weaknesses and enrich strengths); “Because I like to work with an advanced group. I am in Ms.Kujala’s WIN group and I love it so far!”
Someday, Josilynn would to become a veterinarian and a boss at Geiss Meat Service; “I want to be a vet because I love animals and I hate to see them hurt. I want to be the boss at Geiss’s because it is our family business and I love to work with my family.
