MHS to host Young Irelanders March 8

One of the missions of the Merrill Area Concert Association is to bring music and musicians from around the world to the Merrill community. Cultural exchanges are an interesting and entertaining way to expose our members to the many various kinds of music and culture found around the globe.
The Young Irelanders are coming to the Merrill High School Auditorium on Sunday, March 8 at 7 p.m. Each and every year the Irish Cultural Academy brings together some of its finest young musicians, singers and dancers to tour the world and promote the great music and dance of Ireland. Though still in their 20’s and 30’s, they are world and Irish national champions in their disciplines. Members of the Young Irelanders have performed on six continents and for many heads of state, including U.S presidents, Royalty of the UK, and many European leaders. Attending this performance will be like going to Ireland and enjoying a community festival.
Attendance at all Merrill Area Concert Association events is open to members only, but we encourage you to become a member. You can still purchase a MACA membership for the final two concerts of the year. It will certainly be worth the price! Purchasing a season membership supports the association’s ongoing mission to provide live performances by professional musicians for the entertainment and betterment of our community. It is best to call in advance so we can have your membership materials ready and so that you don’t miss a minute of enjoyment!
