Portion of southern Lincoln County snowmobile trails to open Thursday

Wednesday afternoon, the Lincoln County Forestry, Land and Parks Department announced the opening of a portion of southern Lincoln County snowmobile trails, effective Thursday, Jan.16.
According to a press release issued by director Kevin Kleinschmidt; “Lincoln County’s funded snowmobile trails (County Administrated Trails) in Zones 3 and 4 will open as of 8 a.m. Thursday Jan. 16.
“Zone 1 trails remaining closed are as follows: Corridor 19 south of Highway 86, Trail 86 south of Hwy 86 and Corridor 17 south of the Park and Ride at Intersection #30. All other Zone 1 trails are open.”
All Zone 2 trails will remain closed for the time being.
Winter ATV trails in Zones 3 and 4 will not open until 8:00 a.m. Thursday Jan. 23.
Trails are in early season condition and may be rough and icy in some areas.
All trails are closed to winter ATV use when the temperature is above 28 degrees F.
Be aware of Trail Closed signs, stay on marked trails only and respect private land.
