Merrill High School junior Courtney Krueger has been the Lady Jays basketball team’s leading scorer through the early season. Krueger scored 23 points in one half of action in a conference win over Wausau East on Dec. 10, finishing the game with a season high 28.
Playing her second year of varsity basketball, Krueger was selected as 2nd team All-WVC last year as a sophomore, while also receiving Honorable Mention on the varsity softball team. Outside of sports Krueger is involved in Junior Optimist Club, LEAD, Big Brothers Big Sisters and FFA. On her free time Krueger enjoys hanging out with friends and family.
Daughter of Fran and Hughie Krueger, Courtney currently sports a 3.8 GPA. Following graduation in spring of 2021, Krueger plans to attend a four-year university and possibly continue her softball or basketball career.
