Washington Elementary first grader Ella Simon has named Student of the Week, for the week of Nov. 25.
Daughter of Megan Pehlke and Derek Simon of Merrill, Ella was nominated by first grade teacher Mrs. Gustum.
“Ella works hard in class every day,” Gustum explains.
“She is a great listener and is kind to everyone.”
According to Ella, her favorite part of school is writer’s workshop; “Because I get to learn and write about fun stuff.”
Ella’s favorite subject in school is music class; “Because music makes me happy!”
Someday, Ella would like to take care of animals; “Because I love animals.”
